October is my favorite month of the year—and it has nothing to do with Halloween (though I do enjoy a good Reese’s cup from my kid’s bag of loot!) The truth is, October just hits all my senses perfectly. The changing leaves are beautiful to look at as I drive through the streets; the air is sweet, cool and crisp; and Franklin has so many activities and festivals in the fall to enjoy. The sights and sounds of all of fall are just one of the many things that make our city so joyful to live in.

October also represents warm food and the perfect setting for any picnic, barbecue or evening on the back patio at a restaurant with friends. Narrowing down all the sensational local flavors in town was no easy task, but we are confident this issue is an accurate representation of our emerging reputation as a true dining destination. Or, if you prefer a night at home, you can whip up one of the many recipes we’ve included throughout this issue. Be sure to tag us in a photo of your final product on our Franklin Lifestyle Instagram or Facebook pages!

Woven within this issue, we are spotlighting a few of the many talented professionals living within Franklin. We have featured spotlights on local artists, designers and even our very own Franklin Lifestyle writers.

Dig in, and enjoy the October issue of Franklin Lifestyle. I’ll be whipping up a cocktail of my own and enjoying everything Franklin in the fall has to offer!
