Summer freedom is drawing to a close, and the school bells will be ringing any day now. (Shhh, I’m secretly excited, but don’t tell my kids.) Since we dedicated an issue to both the men and women of our community earlier this year, it would only be right to celebrate some of our cutest residents: kids and pets! From painted family portraits to renowned swim classes and amazing local grooming companies that cater to your furry friends, we have lots of stories in this issue. After all, Franklin is meant for kids and pets.

My own kids have grown up in Franklin, and they embrace every aspect of life here. Every month, there is a headshot of me up above. But now, I’m panning out to show you the rest of that photo. My family is as much a part of Franklin Lifestyle as I am. Telling the stories of the people, places and events in Franklin has allowed me to show my children what it means to value work, kindness, and community.

But there have also been sacrifices. I am busy and not always available to pick them up from practice or take them out on a whim. Therefore, they have been given the opportunity to use their resources, think outside the box and be more independent. For the most part, they have taken the change in stride and understand that I may be a few minutes late sometimes. (Well…except that one time I accidentally forgot my daughter at camp completely, but that’s a story for another day!) As Franklin Lifestyle continues to grow, you will get to see my family grow along with it.

Cheers to another wonderful month ahead, Franklin! My family and I will surely see you around!

Warmly,

Athena
