It’s been said that one woman can make a difference, but together we can rock the world. This issue applauds women rocking the world!

We not only celebrate mothers this Mother’s Day with suggestions for some first-class gift-giving, but we also highlight some brilliant women in our local community. Our May issue is filled with stories to inspire us all to appreciate the women in our lives. From a mural painter and women business owners to profiles of three Franklin women making a difference, the Women’s issue serves to recognize the powerful role women have in our community and beyond.

In this issue, we spend a little time talking to Elisabeth Hasselbeck, the former co-host of The View. And we’re not talking politics; we’re talking things that make her feel strong as a mom, friend and wife—just like the strong women who comprise this issue.

Lastly, the people at Thistle Farms repeatedly show us how love heals. Women who have survived trafficking, prostitution and addiction continue to hope and heal because of this wonderful organization.

So, to the women of Franklin (and beyond) who are rocking the world—may you find a quiet moment to enjoy this issue dedicated to you.
