JJD’s Many Roles

Jessie James Decker is 5 feet of fierce. She married former Tennessee Titan Eric Decker, and together they are raising three beautiful children in their Forest Hills home. And while wife and mother may be her most important roles, she’s so much more. The 30-year-old boasts a resume that includes singer-songwriter, fashion designer, entrepreneur, model, TV personality, more than 3 million followers on Instagram and now, author. Jessie revealed to us a little bit about each of her starring roles.

1. Author (images 1 & 2)

“I wanted to do this book because I feel like there are a lot of things I wanted to share. I feel like there’s a lot of women that go through the same things I do, and I wanted to be a voice in that way. I feel like it’s a way for us to relate together. I start with my childhood, touch on my music career, how I met my husband and how he encourages me. It kind of goes through my whole story from A to Z.”

2. Singer (image 3)

“I’ve always wanted to be a country singer since I was a little girl in yodeling contests. I released a Christmas record on vinyl, and I’ll be headlining a tour later this year.”

3. Entrepreneur (image 4)

“I knew at a very young age that I wanted to have a clothing line and boutique. Expression through fashion is fun and exciting. Sometimes if we feel confident and beautiful on the outside, it helps our inner beauty shine through. Kittenish isn’t just a look, it’s a feeling.”

4. South Beach Diet Ambassador (image 5)

“I’ve been with them almost three years now. When they laid out what the program was, I was like, ‘I’ve been following this all along,’ which was kind of funny. I didn’t know it was the South Beach Diet. But I like their whole theory on weight loss and healthy lifestyle. I gained 47 pounds with my third baby. And I’ve lost almost all of it using South Beach.”
