Frank Franklin Joins Visit Franklin to Talk Frankly

As the height of summer travel season approaches, natural questions arise from visitors. And a new video series from Visit Franklin aims to answer them as “frankly” as possible. In the style of a moderately funded late-night talk show, “Frankly Franklin with Frank Franklin” tackles as frankly as possible the most frequently asked questions travelers and locals alike have about Franklin, Tennessee.

Each episode of the 14-part series will focus on answering an individual question, like “What is there to do in Franklin?” “Where do the locals go in Franklin?” or “Where is the best barbecue in Franklin?” including house band Rodeo & Juliet providing a theme song you’ll have in your head for days. Host Frank Franklin takes his show from the stage of the Franklin Theatre to the streets of Franklin to answer these frank questions and more.

If that’s not enough, the new venue comes complete with a 6,000-square-foot rooftop with an indoor/outdoor bar and restaurant called The Lookout at Ole Red.

2019 NFL Draft Come to Nashville

The National Football League has announced that Nashville will host the 2019 NFL Draft April 25-27. The draft is expected to draw approximately 20,000 to 25,000 out-of-town visitors. Dallas hosted the 2018 draft, and Philadelphia was the city of choice in 2017.

“We are thrilled for the city of Nashville, our fans and our team that we have been selected to host the 2019 NFL Draft,” said Amy Adams Strunk, Tennessee Titans controlling owner. “The city and the Titans put a lot of effort into this proposal, and we can’t wait to see it come to life next year.”

A free football festival known as the NFL Draft Experience will allow fans of all teams to participate and test their football skills, enjoy interactive exhibits and autograph sessions, and take pictures with the Vince Lombardi Trophy. The Draft Experience will be open all three days of the event.
